The Valve Gear Kit
(below) includes the brass parts to be used on a Bowser, English's Model
Railroad Supply and Varney Docksides. Please note that the cylinder, drivers
and main rod is NOT INCLUDED because these parts are already on these
Dockside models.
Additional Dockside
Parts: Listed below are a variety
of parts that are available to super detail the Dockside model, or to upgrade
and/or replace parts for the Dockside model. The following are notes about
particular models with application guidelines.
Pilot Coupler
- Use Kadee #5 coupler, spring and cover. Place spring in cast on pocket.
Put coupler in spring and fasten cover in place with a 2-56 screw.
Varney Dockside
- To use underframe #70221, cut away the sides to accept the DC60 motor.
Drill a new hole to mount the motor. Use an 0-80 screw as there is very
little material.
Life Like Dockside
- Use our drivers #17850 & #17851, two #1720 crankpin screws in front
holes and two #80006 in rear holes. File axle slots in frame with a round
file to accept our drivers.
